student show...
Hi, for all who don't know the VCU Student Show is going on tomorrow at the Anderson Gallery starting at 5pm. My suitcase project will be shown there. Tomorrow is also First Friday, my work is having an opening too for an exhibition of some very nice portraits.

current readings...
I am currently reading "War for the Oaks" by Emma Bull. Pretty good if you're into fairies and stuff. I'm going to be storyboarding a section of it for class. If it turns out well I will post it one day after the semester is over.

new times on the horizon...
We learned tables this week in class...so if this weekend goes well expect a totally new revamped wiggity whack soon! I couldn't be happier. yay.
The new site will have my work up on it! So I can now embarrass myself to the whole world instead of just to my classmates.

steve segal...
today Steve Segal gave a lecture on his work and career. He's an interesting guy. He graduated from VCU and he showed us all his cool work from those days. He showed us his work on Pixar's Toy Story which was AWESOME. He also worked on A Bug's Life. And he finished off by showing us a movie he co-made called Futuroplis. We get to watch the whole thing in a couple of weeks.

My mom finally got a new car. The woman has been driving a teal and gray mini-van for the past 11 years so it's safe to say she has earned this ride! haha.

happy st. patrick's day...
Today we finished up our trip with some last minute shopping. We flew out of London @ 6:40pm and arrived in D.C. around 9:50pm. Don't let the times fool you it was a 7 & a half hour flight. This only meets I will be totally jet lagged in the days coming. I don't have any pictures from this day because I maxed out my memory card. All the pictures are uploaded to the photo gallery & should all have captions soon. When I return to Richmond I will hop on my computer and upload some of my video I shot during the trip.

Today was our most productive day thus far...we saw Buckinham Palace, Windsor Castle, Salisbury Cathedral, & Stonehenge. Fun times!!

Today we went to the largest antique market in the world Portobello Market its very near if not in Notting Hill. It was a little too pricey for me. Also too crowded!

dumbo's circus...
Check out my favorite show from when I was three! It's called Dumbo's Circus and was on the Disney Channel. Scott reminded me of it. Click QT the Orangutan to and check out a site devoted to the show! They even have the opening theme video!
Another show I watched back then was Zoobilee Zoo
Looking back they look kind of freaky and scary. Matt is really scared of them. He sees the fox in his nightmares.

man...
What a game tonight! VCU v. ODU. It went into OT and unfortunately VCU went home with a L. But we did get national attention on ESPN. Which is big. And for the most part we played an excited game, minus a few times when we got sloppy. But I think we showed the country what we got. We bid farewell to our great senior forwards, Michael Doles and Derrick Reid. Next year will be great though. All but two players will be returning and we will still have Nick George who had a great season this year! And he wears my old number from my days as a soccer player. That's football to him.
fade away jumpshot ---swish. he rocks those like they are nothing.
This week I travel to his homeland of England for Spring Break. YAY!
And when I get back I'll have my bracket ready for my favorite time of the sporting year! MARCH MADNESS! YAY!

WRIR 97.3 in Richmond ROCKS on Saturdays. It makes work pleasureable. They start you off with a British Breakfast and it just gets better on as the day progresses! Check it out! And if you're not in Richmond you can listen online at their site. Long live indie radio.
p.s. The Gaskets were great last night. If you ever get a chance you should check them out. Mike & Jeff went too.
